Dragon Ball has always been a very successful franchise, many video games have been created using a lot of inspiration from the original manga series which as many animation fans know extended for several years and contained several chapters which added value and new opponents to the ever powerful Goku.
PC games have been known to entertain millions of players though highly addictive modules and great graphics, however during the past few years the Horror genre has become increasingly popular, to the point where most players prefer horror games to horror movies any day of the week, the reasons is that PC games have taken things to a whole new level in terms of graphics, sounds and story. The games on the following list are recommended to older teenagers and young adults due to their graphic nature, these are definitively not for kids.
According to the BBC, the word “w00t” has become word of the year, as voted for in a poll by Merriam Webster. Yes. That is what our language is coming to – crap made up by fanboys.
For those who don’t know, the term “w00t” (with either numbers or letters in the middle) originated pre MMO time, back in the days of DnD board games. There’s no real agreement on what the abbreviation stands for, but some guesses are:
No gaming related stuff. This is a Mitchell and Webb sketch – this YouTube video compiles them all. Watch it – deranged homeless people were never so funny!
(watch Peep Show if you don’t know who these guys are).

It used to be the case that RPGs were for the geeky. One step away from sitting in a dingy basement, rolling dice while huddled over a gaming board with your mates are pretending to be Orcs and Elves…
Over time though, RPG games really moved into the mainstream gaming market – Final Fantasy led the way in recent years with a phenomenal franchise that has figuratively and literally transcended generations of gamers and paved the way for games such as Elder Scrolls to find their way into gaming store’s top 10 lists.
But there was always a stigma attached to RPG gaming – even a divide, between the RPG faithful and the console generation of FPS gamers. That divide has been blurred over the past couple of years (mainly due to the popularity of WoW) and now we see games like Bioshock that stay true to traditional FPS gaming, but also pull core RPG elements into their gameplay concepts.
I don’t condone violence against children in any way but after spending a night in with mates getting humped on Guitar Hero 2 on easy level, then watching this video – I did want to hit the little bugger! But fair play – that is pretty awesome for an 8 year old!

EverQuest have announced the launch of “Secrets of Faydwer“, the most recent expansion in the long running MMO. A fairly lackluster launch though – compared to WoW’s recent expansion announcement, EverQuest haven’t really given users all that much information….
I remember when WoW was launched – I played EQ at the time and it really crippled the game – servers had to merge – entire guilds were decimated as their players left to go and play the more entertaining Warcraft game. Continue reading
I’m pretty sure everyone who gets involved in online gaming communities will know who Leeroy Jenkins is. A Warcraft character made famous by a video released on Youtube, Leeroy famously destroyed his Guild’s raid plans for the evening by rushing head first into room full of mobs, wiping the raid (and as a former raid leader, I can tell you that people do this stupid shit all the time, but not quite as spectacularly!).
For those not familiar with the video – here it is:

OK, so it is most likely a setup – a pretty funny video that a few guys decided to release during a time that Youtube popularity was increasing exponentially. Kudos to the folks behind it – I, like many people, did get a chuckle from watching it. That said, I’m certain none of the people behind the video thought it would become quite as large a phenomenon as it did. And as with any fad – there are those who decide to try and cash in on the game… Continue reading
